I've been thinking this week while I have been creating goals and planning my steps for the day, the week and the year, that there are a lot of moving parts. Every day we have goals and try fix things, prepare and plan for things, stress over needs or worry over that situation. Our daily focus is making things happen or taking control of a moment or circumstance. Honestly, I'm thinking about my own troubles and circumstances and daily being anxious and worrying over them. Sometimes even paralyzing my next steps. Then I was reminded of this command and promise:
“But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.” Matthew 6:33 ESV
I was reminded that even though we have things to do, circumstances that come up and we have trouble, that we need to seek Him first. In seeking Him first we can move forward in confidence that He is going to guide us through all of those things. He says so at the end - "and all these things will be added to you".
We need to let him be Lord over all because there is nothing our God can't do!
“Behold, I am the Lord, the God of all flesh. Is anything too hard for me?” Jeremiah 32:27 ESV
God has spoken things over our life and has laid things on our hearts to accomplish for Him in ways that He has uniquely qualified us to do. Things that will bring Him glory and others to Him. But we need to lay all of those other circumstances and needs down at His feet. Then we need to claim this promise every day so that we can walk in His will and plan for our life and be victorious!
More to come!
